#BeSt2020 Today is the first day of @bestmesse,( Austrias largest education fair ?‍??‍?). Until Sunday you can visit us at booth K13 and experience this years presentation of artistic research by applied artists on the subject of sustainability ? and digitization ?. The focus this year is on the research project ? "Conceptual Joining" ? – a sustainable wooden construction that can be joined together without metal elements and was produced using computer simulations and digitally controlled robots. This environmentally friendly structure is extended into the digital world, which can only be explored by mobile devices. The team around @iheartblob developed a new Instagram filter, which enables all users to explore the current diploma projects of @dieangewandte students via Augmented Reality using their mobile phone camera – and to project them onto the environment and their own faces. The new BeSt booth combines sustainability and digitalization – two elementary themes whose potential can be discovered by future applied art students. Of course, the main focus will continue to be on representing the applied arts in the best possible way. Students of our university will be on hand to advise all interested parties and potential students. We are looking forward to your visit!
